More clarity needed on Rhondda line from TFW
Responding to the news that the Treherbert line is reopening today, Natasha Asghar MS, Shadow Transport Minister, said:
“After 10 months of pain for people in the Rhondda, there is still far too much ambiguity surrounding when the promised improved service will begin.
“With the reopening including the previous schedule of just the two trains per hour and the new electrified trains still not ready, a rough estimate from TfW is not good enough.
“The people of the Rhondda have experienced a poor service for far too long, the very least they deserve is greater certainty on when they will see any benefit.”
