Labour Minister lacks clarity on home building in Wales
Responding to her spokesperson questions to Labour’s Climate Change Minister in the Senedd today, Welsh Conservative Shadow Climate Change Minister, Janet Finch-Saunders MS said:
“We all know about the housing crisis in Wales and we all know that to address this crisis more homes must be built. Labour is currently building half the number of houses that are needed to meet demand, which is indicative of Labour’s 25 years of failure in Wales.
“Today I challenged the Minister on the Labour Government’s appalling house building record. If the Labour Government don’t do more to unblock the planning process, they will continue to miss their targets year on year.
“Unfortunately, the Minister’s response was defensive and vague, which leaves me with little confidence that this issue will be solved anytime soon by this failing Labour Government.”
