South Wales Police Officers speaking to adults and children, educating them on the dangers of knife crime in the Rhondda Fach and Fawr areas

Our officers have been busy in your area including in the Rhondda Fach and Fawr where they have been out and about speaking to adults and children educating on the dangers of knife crime and providing public reassurance.

PCSO Williams attended Greggs in Maesteg Town Centre and held a Knife Crime Awareness table. Greggs is a high footfall location ideal for engaging with young people around such a serious matter and is also a location which has seen an increase in Anti-Social Behaviour.

Bridgend Youth Matters were also in attendance and conducted patrols in the area. PCSO’s and partners were there to offer advice and education around Knife crime and discussions were had on further joint engagement opportunities.

The nursery and reception pupils of Ysgol Y Ferch were out early litter picking and taking pride in their community. Lovely for the children to tell the local PCSOs Robey and Matthews all about it whilst we were on our patrols.
