Reminder: Weekend Road Closure – A465 Between Cefn Coed (A470 Junction) and Dowlais.
As part of the ongoing construction works the following weekend closure is required on the A465 between Cefn Coed (Junction with A470 roundabout) and Dowlais:
Friday 15 December from 20:00hrs until 06:00hrs on Monday 18 December 2023.
During the closure we intend to switch the A465 traffic to the newly constructed westbound carriageway in the Cefn Coed area. To do this, we need to tie-in the new carriageway at either end at both temporary roundabouts.
To ensure the road is re-opened on the Monday morning this will involve some noisy work during the full weekend.
During the closure we will also be installing new pre-cast concrete deck sections as part of the widening of Taf Fechan Viaduct.
