POSTPONED: Weekend Road Closure – A465 Between Cefn Coed (A470 Junction) and Dowlais 28 to 31 July 2023
This message includes full details and the new closure dates.
Please note our weekend closure of the A465 between Cefn Coed and Dowlais planned for 28 to 31 July 2023 has been postponed, meaning the road will be open on this weekend.
We will now be closing the A465 between Cefn Coed and Dowlais from 20:00 on Friday 4 August and it will reopen at 06:00 on Monday 7August.
This weekend closure is required:
- To allow beams to be installed as part of the work to strengthen and widen Taf Fechan Viaduct at Cefn Coed
- For the new Taff Trail footbridge to be installed. (We will advise you when this bridge will be open for use
- The concrete deck of the new High Street Bridge, Cefn Coed to be poured.
