The Council is required to prepare an annual Statement of Accounts detailing all of its financial activities during the year. The statement is prepared in accordance with a statutory framework, and provides information on:
- the cost of services provided by the Council
- the sources of finance to provide these services
- the value of the Council's assets and liabilities at year-end
The statement is subject to external audit to provide assurance that they present fairly the financial position of the Council.
