The South Wales Fire and Rescue Authority has published its draft Statement of Accounts 2015-16
The South Wales Fire and Rescue Authority has published on its website the current draft set of its 2015-16 financial statements, which the Authority approved on 26th September 2016. The statements are unaudited, with the audit opinion pending the conclusion of the audit.
The publication of the draft statements has been undertaken by the deadline of 30th September in order to comply with the Accounts and Audit (Wales) Regulations 2014. On the conclusion of the audit, the Authority will consider and re-approve the audited financial statements, which will then also be published. The delay with the audit opinion has mainly arisen because of the nature of the audit testing undertaken by our new auditors, which has resulted in some important audit issues arising that we are currently working to resolve, and on which both we and the auditors expect to conclude soon.
