A 47-year-old man from Tonypandy arrested

Our #Rhondda Neighbourhood Policing Team made some significant strides in tackling illegal activities recently!

They cracked down on the illegal importation of tobacco in #Pentre and #Tonypandy, which led to the seizure of a bunch of foreign cigarettes and tobacco that aren’t allowed for sale in the UK. They also found a large sum of cash.

On top of that, PC Ben Oakes arrested a 47-year-old man from Tonypandy on suspicion of acquire/use/possess criminal property; possess a Class A drug and possess with intent to supply a Class B drug. He has since been released under investigation.

Illegal drugs and tobacco can really hurt communities, and the money from these activities often supports organised crime. It’s great to see our officers taking a strong stand against this, working hard to keep our communities safe and supporting those who are vulnerable.

If anyone has information about criminal activities in the area, they’re encouraged to reach out. It’s all about working together to create a safer environment.
