Labour have lied to our farmers

Responding to the news that Jo Stevens defended the new tax on combined business and agricultural assets, Andrew RT Davies MS, Welsh Conservative Leader, said:

“The shameless defence of this destructive policy is unforgivable.

“Along with the Welsh Government’s Sustainable Farming Scheme, this new family farm death tax means we now have two Labour Governments on each end of the M4 working in tandem to destroy farming in Wales.

“This has been a budget of broken promises and lies from Labour which will not only see the breaking up of family farms but a very real threat to our nation’s food security.”
