Walsh Labour finally publishes long overdue report
Commenting on the much-delayed Storm Overflow Report published by the Welsh Government, Welsh Conservative Shadow Climate Change Minister, Janet Finch-Saunders MS said:
“It is unacceptable that it has taken over seven months since Labour promised to publish their latest Storm Overflow Report. After mounting pressure from the Welsh Conservatives, Labour have finally published the report yesterday.
“After a wet summer with many storms and floods, it is disappointing that the report does not include any recommendations. Labour must do more to manage storm overflow in Wales.
“Wales is the only country in the UK with no environmental watchdog, Dŵr Cymru has been allowed to dump illegally for years and Welsh waterways are some of the most polluted in the UK. It is clear that Labour has dropped the ball in protecting our waterways in Wales”
