Labour’s Transport Minister contradicts the Welsh Government’s position on 20mph blanket expansion across Wales
Commenting on the Deputy Minister’s comments in the Climate Committee yesterday, Welsh Conservative Shadow Transport Minister Natasha Asghar MS, said:
“We were told repeatedly that no other speed limits in Wales would change following Labour’s blanket 20mph scheme, yet the Labour’s Transport Minister clearly has other ideas.
“For Labour to now indicate speed limits on trunk roads will be reviewed, is unacceptable. If there have been no accidents on the road, then the road is clearly safe, therefore a review should not be required.
“Labour will not be satisfied until we are all stuck in our homes, their anti-car, anti-worker and anti-growth agenda will continue to punish the hardworking Welsh people.”
