Sign removals adding to 20mph confusion

Commenting on the news that a Council has removed 20mph signs before blanket 20mph speed limits will be introduced, Welsh Conservative Shadow Transport Minister, Natasha Asghar MS said:

This ludicrous policy is already causing confusion and now we hear that it’s just getting worse. There are two weeks to go and yet we know the costly awareness campaign simply hasn’t worked.

“With reports of signs being removed across the country and concerns raised with the Welsh Conservatives about the removal of 20mph signs outside a school ahead of the blanket speed limit coming into force, this is putting children’s lives at risk.

This pet project by Labour is going to cost the Welsh economy £4.5 billion, slow down emergency services and will ultimately cost more lives than it saves.”
