Confusion and frustration on the blanket 20mph as a local council can not make its mind up over 30 or 20 MPH

Confusion and frustration on the blanket 20mph as a local council can not make its mind up over 30 or 20 MPH

Photographs taken this morning in Groes Faen Rhondda Cynon Taff highlighted frustration for residents in the area, the photographs clearly show signs for both 20mph and 30mph on the same stretch of road, causing confusion for drivers, especially considering the road has an average speed camera at the entrance and exit road to the village.

Commenting on the photograph from this morning, Welsh Conservative Leader and MS for South Wales Central, Andrew RT Davies MS said:

“People within his own constituency of Rhondda Cynon Taff agree with Chris Bryant MP’s description of Labour’s 20mph rollout as bonkers.

“People continue to be frustrated and confused, with speed signs showing 20mph and 30mph on the same stretch of road, with similar incidents being reported across Wales. Instead of listening to the public and Labour’s own MP, the Labour Government continued to ignore the concerns of the Welsh people.

“Labour’s extreme ideology is damaging the people of Wales. The Welsh Conservatives will listen to the Welsh people and scrap blanket 20mph speed limits.”
