Welsh Labour hide from the impact of the 20mph rollout

A written question submitted by the Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, Andrew RT Davies, has revealed that the Labour Government’s Deputy Climate Minister has no plans to monitor the impact of the 20mph rollout on neighbouring roads.

Commenting on the answer from the Deputy Minister, Welsh Conservative Shadow Transport Minister, Natasha Asghar MS said:

This is typically short-sighted of this Labour Government, to roll out a divisive and costly change without appropriate monitoring is completely irresponsible.

“With 11 days to go before this ludicrous policy is rolled out, the people of Wales will want to hear that Labour’s policy will do as it claims.

“At a cost of a whopping £4.5bn to the economy and the initial £30m rollout, Labour cannot pick and choose what it wants to report on and hide from the facts.”
