Coal Tip up for Sale in Cwmbach
The Cwmbach Community FB site, understandable there are concerns from local residents over the sale by auction of a disused coal tip above the village. The tip is overgrown for many years with established trees and I expect wildlife to breed in the natural habitat of an overgrown coal tip.
The Council
As Rhondda Cynon Taf Council has failed its residents by not publishing the list of where the dangerous coal tips are sited as they said they would, no one know what the coal tip that is up for sale is classed as. Having looked at the planning register there are no plans for that address published on RCTC Planning Portal. There may be an enquiry into the Planning Department but the council will not inform you if you ask.
The posts on The Cwmbach Community FB site are relatively varied with many opinions of what is proposed, There can be no site clearance at the moment as birds are nesting.
