Rhigos Mountain Road UPDATE
Rhigos Mountain Road will remain CLOSED until further notice, but we will continue to update daily. Access to Zip World Tower via Hirwaun side remains open.
Yesterday’s fire has damaged both the plastic and wire netting. Specialist rope access contractors are being sourced to scale and remove loose material, with specialist contractors required to fix the damage.
Emergency works are currently underway to make the area safe and concrete barriers are being placed to protect passing traffic once these works are completed.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused, however, the danger posed to road users is too great and public safety is our main concern.
