(FFORCHNEOL ROW, ABERAMAN) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council, intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
The effect of the Order will be to close Fforchneol Row, from its junction with Gordon Street, north eastwards for a distance of 560 metres
The restriction is necessary to enable works to be executed on or near the road in connection with the replacement of BT telegraph poles
The closure is expected to be in operation from 8am to 6pm daily, between 5th and 16th October 2020, or until such time as the works have been completed.
NB the closure will be completed in phases, and access to Fforchneol Row and Heol-Y-Gelli for resident’s vehicles will be maintained at all times
The alternative route for vehicles will be from the northern side of the closure, proceed via Fforchneol Row, Cwmaman Road, Brynmair Road and Gordon Street to the southern side of the closure
For vehicles traveling in the opposite direction, reverse the directions given above
Access for pedestrians and emergency service vehicles will be maintained at all times
