Ex-health boss ‘leaving Wales’ because of NHS failings
Responding, Angela Burns AM – the Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Health – said:
“I’ve never seen such a strong personal indictment of the failures within the NHS in Wales.
“Ms McClelland’s senior experience of working in the very system that has lost her confidence only goes to show that this is someone who recognises a service that is failing in its duty. The Welsh Government should be appalled.
“It’s scandalous that it’s come to the point where she and her husband are planning to move away from a Wales as a result, and I can only offer my sincere condolences to them both for the neglect that they must be feeling.
“The blame lies at the Welsh Governments door”.
