TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER of FOOTPATH TREORCHY AND PENTRE
RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL
(FOOTPATHS 17, 18 TREORCHY AND FOOTPATH 4 PENTRE)
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will have a maximum duration of six months
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding along the following lengths of footpaths:
Footpath 17 Treorchy
That part that commences on Pen Twyn Road (Grid Ref:SS9562896086) approximately 684 metres south of the property known as Ty Pentwyn Nursing Home, Pentwyn Road, Treorchy, CF42 6HD (Grid Ref:SS9631096044). The path then proceeds for 1107 metres in a generally southerly direction to terminate on the junction of Bridleway 11 Pentre (Grid Ref:SS9623295416)
Footpath 18 Treorchy
That part that commences on Pen Twyn Road (Grid Ref:SS9630595945) approximately 96 metres south of the property known as Ty Pentwyn Nursing Home, Pentwyn Road, Treorchy, CF42 6HD (Grid Ref:SS9631096044). The path then proceeds for 302 metres in a generally south direction to terminate on the junction of Footpath 4 Pentre (Grid Ref:SS9647595703).
Footpath 4 Pentre
That part that commences at its junction with Footpath 18 Treorchy (Grid Ref:SS9647595703) approximately 379 metres south of the property known as Ty Pentwyn Nursing Home, Pentwyn Road, Treorchy, CF42 6HD (Grid Ref:SS9631096044) The path then proceeds in a generally southerly direction for 346 metres and terminate at its junction with Bridleway 6 Pentre (Grid Ref:SS9658795376)
The restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety.
The Order will be in operation from 17th July 2017 to 16th January 2018
There are no viable alternative routes during the closure.
