Changes to Parking at Pen y Fan Pond Country Park

Visitors to Pen y Fan Pond Country Park are advised of upcoming changes to parking arrangements at the site.

Caerphilly County Borough Council has leased the upper car park (marked in red) at the country park from Llanover Estate for a number of years. Following notice from the landowner, this lease will come to an end on 30^th April 2026.

The Council has explored all available options to renegotiate the lease and retain management of the upper car park. However, these discussions have been unsuccessful and Llanover Estate has confirmed its intention to terminate the current agreement.

From this date, Llanover Estate will assume management of the upper car park and adjacent grassed area. Caerphilly County Borough Council will continue to manage the remainder of Pen y Fan Pond Country Park, including the lower car park, visitor facilities, café, and the reservoir.

Visitors will still be able to access and enjoy the country park as usual, with parking continuing to be available in the council-owned lower car park.

Work will be undertaken ahead of the change to ensure clear signage is in place to guide visitors and provide clarity on parking arrangements.

The Council remains committed to maintaining Pen y Fan Pond Country Park as a welcoming and accessible space for the community.
