Rhondda Cynon Taf Council lay tarmac in a street in Mountain Ash around parked car

The question is, is it safe to leave your car on any street in Rhondda Cynon Taf because when you get back allsorts can happen.

Take Seymour Street in Mountain Ash a car was left in the street when the council was going to place new tarmac throughout the street. To be fair the council did provide a written notice to all residents saying this would happen, so how much notice were the residents given, well a letter from Mr. T Perry of the Abercynon Highways Department dates the letter 22 June 2017 saying the work will be carried out on 23 and 24 June 2017 so that’s 24 hours notice.

Not a lot of warning that your street is about to have major work done on it, but that’s RCTC So if you are away for a day or so well it seems tough luck.

But the letter also says that the Police will be involved and as a last resort vehicles will be removed to a nearby location for the works to proceed.

Well it didn’t happen in Seymour Street in Mountain Ash so cockup is it you can read the letter below and make your own mind up.
