RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL

(GLYNGWYN STREET AND BAILEY STREET, MOUNTAIN ASH)

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2018

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County

Borough Council have made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.

 

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along the following lengths of roads:-

 

1. Glyngwyn Street, from its junction with Bush Road to its junction with Mount Pleasant Terrace

 

2. Glyngwyn Street, from its junction with Mount Pleasant Terrace to the southern boundary of 58 Glyngwyn Street

 

3. Glyngwyn Street, from the southern boundary of 58 Glyngwyn Street to the southern boundary of 46 Glyngwyn Street

 

4. Glyngwyn Street, from the southern boundary of 46 Glyngwyn Street to the southern boundary of 32 Glyngwyn Street

 

5. Glyngwyn Street, from the southern boundary of 32 Glyngwyn Street to the southern boundary of 18 Glyngwyn Street, from the southern boundary of 18 Glyngwyn Street to the southern boundary of 9 Glyngwyn Street

 

6. Glyngwyn Street, from the southern boundary of 9 Glyngwyn Street to its junction with Bailey Street

 

7. Bailey Street, from its junction with Glyngwyn Street to its junction with Miskin Terrace

 

8. Bailey Street, from its junction with Miskin Terrace to its junction with Miskin Road

 

The restriction is necessary to enable works to be carried out on or near the road

 

The Order is expected to be in operation on Sundays between 8:00am and 6:00pm on 18th March and 25th March 2018 or until the works are completed.

 

Please note that the closures will be phased and no two sections of road will be closed at the same time

 

Access will be maintained for pedestrians and emergency service vehicles

 

During the period of the closure the alternative routes will be available via Miskin Road, Bailey Street, Victoria Street, Mount Pleasant Terrace, Bush Road, Hughes Street and Jones Street.
