TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER 2017 PENDERYN

RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL

(CHURCH ROAD AND THE UNNAMED ROAD LEADING TO LAMB ROAD, PENDERYN)

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2017

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.

 

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit any person from causing any person to proceed along the following lengths of roads:

 

1. Church Road, Penderyn, from a point 360 metres north west of its junction with Pontpren (A4059), north westwards for a distance of 390 metres

 

It is expected to be operative from 9:00am to 3:30pm on Monday 24th April 2017 or until such time as the works have been completed

 

2. The unnamed road leading to Lamb Road, from a point 80 metres north of its junction with Church Road, northwards for a distance of 235 metres

 

It is expected to be operative from 9:00am to 3:30pm on Monday 8th May 2017 or until such time . as the works have been completed

 

The restriction is necessary to enable works to be executed on or near the road

 

Access will be maintained for pedestrians and emergency service vehicles

 

During the period of the closure, the alternative route is as follows:

 

1. From the northern side of the closure, proceed via the unnamed road leading to Lamb Road, Lamb Road, Chapel Road (A4059), Pontpren (A4059) and Church Road to the southern side of the closure

 

2. From the northern side of the closure, proceed via the unnamed road leading to Lamb Road, Lamb Road, Chapel Road (A4059), Pontpren (A4059) and Church Road to the southern side of the closure

 

For vehicles travelling in the opposite direction, reverse the directions given above.
