(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit any person from causing any person to proceed along Main Road, Tonteg, from a point 75 metres north east of its junction with Church Road, north eastwards for 15 metres
NB The “Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council (Church Village Bypass) (One Way Traffic) Order 2010” will be temporarily suspended where it refers to Main Road, Tonteg for the duration of the order to allow two way traffic in this section of road
It is expected to be operative from 8:00am to 6:00pm on Sunday 30th April 2017 or until such time as the works have been completed.
The restriction is necessary to enable works to be executed on or near the road
Access will be maintained for pedestrians BUT NOT for emergency service vehicles
During the period of the closure, the alternative route is as follows:
From the southern side of the closure, proceed via Tonteg Road and Main Road to the northern side of the closure.
