Playday 2016 theme announcement
We’re pleased to announce the Playday 2016 campaign theme will be Play matters.
The Playday Play matters campaign is calling on everyone to help make sure that children and young people across the UK have the time, freedom and space to play. As well promoting children’s right to play, the campaign is highlighting that play matters for:
- children’s mental health and wellbeing
- creativity and learning
- all ages and abilities
- communities
This year, we are also celebrating 29 years of Playday! You can get involved in Playday by: holding a Playday celebration, spreading the word about the campaign, become an official campaign supporter, or following us on Facebook and Twitter.
However you decide to get involved, there’s lots of advice and guidance available on the Playday website to get you started – from promotional posters and postcards, to practical tips from Playday event organisers.
So, whether you’ve got kids, you work with kids, or you’re a big kid yourself, Playday needs you! Find out more on the Playday website.
Thank you for your continued support.
Playday is the annual celebration of children’s right to play and is coordinated by Play England, Play Wales, Play Scotland and PlayBoard Northern Ireland.
