Hollywood Actor Michael Sheen supports Velindre Cancer Centre charity cook book

Welsh born Hollywood actor Michael Sheen will write the foreword of Velindre Cancer Centre’s charity cook book.

The cook book – made up of favorite recipes from cancer patients and their loved ones – will include much loved meals, naughty treats, and food for celebrations that conjure up happy memories.

Michael Sheen said: “I have seen the impact cancer has on the lives of individuals and their families and anything we can do to make the battle that little bit easier is surely a good thing.

“The Velindre Cancer Centre cook book is such a great idea. I hope it reminds families not only of the many great memories they’ve had together, but gives them an opportunity to create many more.”

Ceri Harris of Velindre Cancer Centre who is helping to produce the cook book said: “I’m thrilled to have Michael Sheen on board. He’s such a wonderful supporter of the NHS and advocate for many charities. This will mean so much to patients and families”

The book is also being supported by a number of well-known chefs from across Wales, including Michelin-star award winners Chris Harrod of The Whitebrook in Monmouth and Shaun Hill of The Walnut Tree in Abergavenny.

Recipes for the cook book are being accepted up until November 16th.
