UPDATE: A465 Hirwaun to Cefn Coed Overnight Closures.

As part of the ongoing construction works the following overnight closures are required on the A465 between Hirwaun (Rhigos Junction) and Cefn Coed (Junction with A470 roundabout):
Wednesday 25 September
Thursday 26 September
Friday 27 September
Monday 30 September
Tuesday 1 October
Wednesday 2 October
Thursday 3 October
On each date the closure will start at 20:00hrs and the road will re-open at 06:00hrs the following morning.
The main purpose for this closure is to allow for road surfaces to be laid in a number of locations.
Other work will also take place throughout the closure area to maximise the use of this closure, which is required to undertake work that cannot be safely completed whilst the road is open or under traffic management.
Where Swansea Road, Hirwaun joins the Croesbychan temporary roundabout (eastern end of Hirwaun) it will be closed. It will not be possible to cross the A465 at this point. However, as Brecon
Road is open, you will be able to use the A4059 as an alternative route to and from Llwydcoed.
