Another £200 million for Cardiff Airport

Responding to the news that Cardiff Airport will receive an additional £206 million over the next decade as part of Labour’s ‘long-term strategy’, Natasha Asghar MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Transport Minister said:

“The people of Wales have been well and truly fleeced with this vanity project, one of Labour’s most costly to date.

“The Labour Welsh Government have already shovelled nearly £200 million into the Airport as it stands, with diminishing returns. More than doubling that investment is a colossal waste of money.

“It remains the view of the Welsh Conservatives that Cardiff Airport should be sold to finally give Welsh taxpayers some respite.”
