Operation Winsford: Tackling drug-dealing and associated crime across south Wales
Officers from a range of departments, including the Roads Policing Unit and the Dog Section, are working with local neighbourhood teams to target areas where concerns have been raised by the community.
Barry was the first area to get some focus from Operation Winsford earlier this month, which resulted in several positive results including one man arrested for possession with intent to supply drugs, £2,500 seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act, and three uninsured cars – suspected of being used for crime – being seized.
South Wales Police has a zero-tolerance approach to drug dealing and Operation Winsford is just one example of how we are tackling drug dealing in the community.
