Cancer waiting times are longer in Labour-run Wales

Responding to the news that cancer waiting times are longer in Wales, Russell George MS, Shadow Health Minister, said:

“It is atrocious that people in Wales have to wait much longer for cancer treatment in Labour-run Wales.

“In Wales you barely have a 50/50 chance of receiving cancer treatment on time and there is no sign of the Labour Government tackling the issue any time soon.

“The Welsh Conservatives would enact a substantial workforce plan with a tuition fee refund for healthcare workers at its heart, in order to end Labour’s staffing crisis in our Welsh NHS and deliver treatment to people as soon as possible.”
