Social Care budget gap will hit the most vulnerable in Wales

Social Care budget gap will hit the most vulnerable in Wales

Commenting following his exchange today with Labour’s Minister for Social Services in the Senedd, Gareth Davies MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Social Services said:

“I am bitterly disappointed by Labour’s plans to continue underfunding our social care system here in Wales – the budget gap will hit the most vulnerable and put children at risk of abuse and neglect.

The Labour Government are spending tens of millions of pounds on vanity projects like blanket 20mph, more politicians and a socialist UBI pilot while underfunding health and social care.

“The Welsh Conservatives would make health and social care our number one priority, ensure the full uplift received for health is spent on health and enact a child services review, which Labour have so far failed to do.”
