First Minister fails to confirm that Welsh Maternity Service is safe

Commenting following his exchange with Mark Drakeford today at First Minister’s Questions regarding Swansea Bay University Health Board maternity services, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, Andrew RT Davies MS said:
“Expectant parents will be deeply alarmed that Mark Drakeford failed to confirm maternity services in the Swansea Bay area are safe.
“This follows last week’s appalling revelation that the Channon family were wrongly told a review had been carried out into failings around their son Gethin’s care, when it had not taken place.
“Instead of spending £120 million on 36 more politicians, Labour ministers in the Senedd need to get their priorities right and tackle this scandal urgently.”
