The Lord Chancellor has appointed Professor Alison Young as the Law Commissioner for Public Law and the Law in Wales.
Prof. Young will hold the roles at the Government’s law reform advisory body for five years from 18 March 2024.
She is the Sir David Williams Professor of Public Law at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Robinson College. She is also an academic associate at 39 Essex Chambers and an Emeritus Fellow of Hertford College, Oxford.
Her previous roles include being Professor of Public Law at the University of Oxford.
