Labour’s disastrous blanket 20mph policy already creating problems
Commenting on the news that a lorry driving instructor from North Wales has reflected on the ‘problems’ caused by the Labour Government’s new blanket 20mph limits, Welsh Conservative Shadow Transport Minister, Natasha Asghar MS said:
The new blanket 20mph speed limit has been in place just over a week and it is plain to see that it has been a disaster.
“ With more than 430,000 people signing a record-breaking petition to scrap the madcap rollout, the people of Wales have quite clearly had enough.
“Labour are already stifling economic growth in Wales and we are seeing the impact this policy will have on businesses. This is just the tip of the iceberg as Labour themselves have anticipated blanket 20mph speed limits will hit the Welsh economy up to £9bn.
“Labour’s Deputy Minister is attempting to undermine the will of the overwhelming majority of Welsh people because he is unable to admit he has got it wrong on his blanket 20mph policy. The Deputy Minister must park his pride and roll back on his anti-road, anti-worker and anti-motorist agenda.”
