Council calls for pause of Labour’s costly 20mph rollout
Commenting on the news that a Council Leader in Wales has called for a pause on the 20mph rollout, Welsh Conservative Shadow Transport Minister, Natasha Asghar MS said:
This pet project by Labour is going to cost the Welsh economy £4.5 billion, slow down emergency services and will ultimately cost more lives than it saves. With 10 days to go before this ludicrous policy is rolled out, the people of Wales will want council money spent on essential services, not Labour’s costly pet projects.
“With the leader of Pembrokeshire Council now joining the calls for 20mph speed limits not to be rolled out on Sunday 17th September, the Labour Government must urgently scrap this madcap policy.”
