Detective Inspector Anthony Watts said “In the early hours of this morning officers attended a call of a potential break-in at a house in Brondeg Terrace. Officers conducted a search of the area and came across a man acting suspiciously.
Officers detained the man, aged 30 after searching his rucksack which include items, such as a bank card, that were reported stolen from the property.
He was arrested on suspicion of burglary and assaulting a police officer.
Great work by the officers on the scene.”
