On Saturday, June 17, a tragic accident between a bus and a motorcycle occurred on Cardiff Road in Mountain Ash, resulting in the death of a 32-year-old man. South Wales Police are currently conducting an investigation into the road traffic collision, which took place around 4:50 pm.
Despite the diligent efforts of the emergency services, the motorcyclist, who hailed from Mountain Ash, unfortunately, lost his life at the scene. The police are now urging any witnesses to come forward and assist with their inquiries.
Inspector Dai Patalano released a statement on Sunday expressing gratitude for the public’s patience during the closure of the road that lasted for several hours following the incident.
In connection with the offence, the driver of the bus, a 51-year-old man, was arrested. However, he has since been released under investigation. The investigating officers are appealing to any individuals who witnessed the collision or possess dash-cam footage of the incident to contact them, quoting reference number 2300199828.
