Full version of the WISE Wellness Calendar available for download in August
You may have seen a few simple ideas promoting wellness improvement on your social media feeds recently? Or even been inspired to try out a suggestion or two, hopefully adding some value to your physical and/or emotional wellbeing over this period?
Well, good news is that you will be able to download and print out a full WISE Wellness Calendar pdf from 1st August 2022 and then every month going forward throughout the year.
The Wellness Improvement Service (WISE) introduced the Wellness Calendar in July to inspire individuals to incorporate small self-care actions into their daily activities.
Dr Liza Thomas-Emrus, the WISE Lead Clinician said:
“We have had a super response from our daily wellness calendar. Sometimes a simple idea or suggestion can make a big difference to someone’s overall health.
‘This often then too forms a chain reaction that impacts on the wellbeing of others, so something nice to share with one’s family and friends.
‘Our daily tips focus on the main holistic lifestyle medicine attributes that the WISE service promotes, such as physical movement, mental health, social connection, healthy eating, and sleep hygiene.”
With an emphasis on pain management, these attributes form the basis of the comprehensive self-care programme that WISE offers to anyone with a chronic health condition within the Cwm Taf Morgannwg region.
Particular focus is on patients who are on current NHS waiting lists who feel that they could benefit from the support of an experienced Wellness Coach who are employed by the Health Board.
