AberdareOnline has asked Rhondda Cynon Taf Council when will their client be taking over the building the council purchased with taxpayer’s money in 2019 AberdareOnline has received no response to its question on the 8 July. In December 2019 the council reported on social media that RCTC has secured a new occupier for the building, who’ll take up occupancy once the property is vacated.
The council claim, “As result, there’s no cost to public of this proactive transaction”. But there is always a cost to the public even if it is only administration costs.

1/2 RCT acquired Rhos House/55A Oxford Street prior to building going to auction. As with other prominent buildings in town centres, RCT has taken a proactive approach to ensure the building doesn’t fall empty/sold to absentee landlords once Doctors relocates to new health centre
