All dinners will be held from 1.00pm to 2.30pm
Saturday 1 February: Soup Kitchens and Food Parcels during the Strike
Tuesday 18 February: Children and Young People in the Strike
Saturday 21 March: Communities Supporting the Strike
Wednesday 15 April: Intergeneration Reminiscence Session
Come to one dinner or all four to learn more about women and families in the miners’ strike and share your memories. At the events:
o We'll have short talks from historians and you'll hear from local women in their own words about the strike
o Share and discuss your memories
o Activities for children
o And we'll have an optional collection for local charities
Run by historians Florence Sutcliffe-Braithwaite, Natalie Thomlinson and Daryl Leeworthy, with local activists and volunteers.
