Jail for woman who burgled elderly family friend twice

Y Twyn – her victim, and man in his 70s, was sleeping in his bedroom when he heard a bang on the landing. He glanced towards his bedroom door and saw Hayley Thomas crawling into his bedroom on her knees.
He challenged her and she was thrown out of the address.
Just two years before, Thomas was jailed for three years and 21 days after she burgled the same house.
South Wales Police Detective Inspector John Duckham, said: “Clearly, Hayley Thomas saw her victim as an easy target but she got what she deserved and was caught. We found her at another address later that day and arrested her.
“Now she’s got plenty of time behind bars to think about what she has done and what she wants to do in the future. Hopefully this time she will learn that breaking into the house of a family friend is not the way to get what she wants. Crime never pays for anybody, but it is true to say that some, we catch up with much sooner than others.”
