ABERCWMBOI TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER 2019

RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL

(MARY STREET, RICHARD STREET AND TANYCOED TERRACE, ABERCWMBOI) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2019

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.

 

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily close the following sections of roads:-

 

1. Richard Street – between its junctions with John Street (B4275) and Jenkin Street

 

2. Mary Street – between its junctions with John Street (B4275) and Jenkin Street

 

3. Tanycoed Terrace – between its junctions with Bronallt Terrace (B4275) and an unnamed road in a generally southwards direction for approximately 27 metres

 

The restriction is necessary to enable works to be executed on or near the road

 

The closure is expected to be in operation from 08:00 on 30th September 2019 to 18:00 on 22nd November 2019 or until such time as the works have been completed

 

Alternative routes

 

1. John Street (B4275), Mary Street and Jenkin Street

 

2. John Street (B4275), Tanycoed Terrace and Jenkin Street

 

3. Bronallt Terrace (B4275), John Street (B4275), Margaret Street and Jenkin Street For vehicles travelling in the opposite direction, reverse the directions given above.

 

Access will NOT be maintained for emergency service vehicles

 

Access will be maintained for pedestrians
