The Good Childhood Report 2019
The Children’s Society has published their eighth annual report into trends in children and young people’s well-being. According to the Society, children are ‘increasingly unhappy’ since 2009.
This year’s report estimates that across the UK almost a quarter of a million children could be unhappy with their lives as a whole.
Areas of high concern for children were friendships, appearance for boys, and their futures in general.
There was a significant dip in their happiness with their lives as a whole, their happiness with friends, and school. There were no significant changes in their happiness with their families, appearance over-all, and with schoolwork.
