Baby Teeth DO Matter
Have you taken your child to the dentist lately?
The health board is aiming to improve the oral health of children in Cwm Taf aged between 0 – 7 years old and have implemented a campaign ‘Baby Teeth DO Matter’.
Healthy dental habits should begin early because tooth decay can develop as soon as the first tooth comes through. Here are a few simple steps which will improve your child’s oral health:
- Start tooth brushing as soon as your child gets their first tooth
- Make an appointment with a dentist as soon as their first tooth appears
- Brush last thing before bed and at one other time during the day
- Use fluoride toothpaste and apply to a dry toothbrush.
Dental treatment for children is FREE.
Most dental practices in Cwm Taf are accepting new NHS patients (both children and adults). Contact your local dental practice for an appointment.
