RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (RHIGOS ROAD, ABERDARE)

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2017

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.

 

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Rhigos Road (A4061), Hirwaun between the Rhigos roundabout and the A465/A4059 Roundabout.

 

It is expected to be operative between 5:00am and 10:00pm on

Sunday 12th November 2017 or until such time as the works are completed

 

The restriction is necessary to enable works to be carried out on or near the road.

 

Access will be maintained for residents’ vehicles but will NOT be maintained for emergency service vehicles

 

Access will be maintained for pedestrians

 

The alternative route for vehicles is as follows:

 

From the eastern side of the closure, proceed via Rhigos Road (A4061), A465, Aberdare Road (B4242), Merthyr Road, Smith’s Avenue, Rhigos Road to the eastern side of the closure.

 

From the western side of the closure, proceed via Rhigos Road, Smith’s Avenue, Merthyr Road, Aberdare Road (B4242), A465, Rhigos Road (A4061) to the western side of the closure.
