RHONDDA CYNON TAFF CO UNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (CARDIFF ROAD, MOUNTAIN ASH)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council have made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit any person from causing any person to proceed along the following:
1. Cardiff Road, from a point 75 metres south of the southern boundary of No. 78 Cardiff Road, southwards for a distance of 240 metres
The “Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council (Cardiff Road, Mountain Ash) (Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2003” will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the Order to allow vehicular access to Cardiff Road
It is expected to be operative from 6th November 2017 to 31st
January 2018 or until such time as the works are completed
The restriction is necessary to enable works to be carried out on or near the road.
Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles but NOT for pedestrians
The alternative route for vehicles is as follows:
From the northern side of the closure, proceed via Cardiff Road and A4059 New Road to the southern side of the closure (the existing bollards in Cardiff Road will be temporarily removed)
For vehicles travelling in the opposite direction, reverse the
directions given above.
