Welsh Conservatives have called for action on the NHS, education and the economy following the publication of the Welsh Government’s new Programme for Government.
The programme sets out seven areas of focus for the Welsh Government, including cutting NHS waiting lists, helping households with the cost of living, creating well-paid jobs, raising standards in schools and tackling child poverty.
The Welsh Conservatives said people across Wales will now expect the Welsh Government to turn its promises into results.
Darren Millar MS, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, said:
“People across Wales have heard these promises before. What they need now is action to fix the crisis in our NHS, raise standards in our schools and fire up the Welsh economy.
“Instead, Plaid Cymru’s first 100 days have brought more plans, panels and reviews and talk of ripping Wales from the United Kingdom.
“Wales needs a government focused on people’s priorities: lower taxes, support for small businesses, an end to wasteful spending, better schools and an NHS that works. Wales doesn’t need more warm words and constitutional distractions.”
