Trio from Aberdare jailed for drugs offences

Gerwyn Hussey, 34 from Aberdare was sentenced to five years in prison following his conviction.

Amie Dare, 34 from Aberdare was sentenced to three years and six months in prison following her conviction.

Kirk Howells, 43 from Hirwaun was sentenced to four years in prison following his conviction.

This follows a police investigation into an organised crime group working in the Aberdare area. In January this year Howells was found to be in possession of a phone that was sending messages offering wholesale amounts of class A drugs for sale.

Following a download of Howell’s phone, officers identified that Hussey was involved with the supply of class A across the Cynon Valley. Hussey’s partner, Dare, was also identified as being a key member of the group through these messages.
