Officers from our neighbourhood and community safety teams held a day of action on Wednesday June 10.

As part of the day multiple warrants and patrols were carried out across mid-Glamorgan, 21 arrests were made for a variety of offences including shoplifting, illegal working, various drug offences and recalls to prison along with this action Ronty Mini Market in Merthyr Tydfil was closed down due to illegal tobacco sales.

We also handed out community protection warnings and criminal behaviour orders to individuals causing persistent ASB. We also seized a car for having no insurance.

This was a coordinated, high-impact day demonstrating effective use of intelligence to deliver tangible outcomes for the community.

This week is Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action, so we’re highlighting all the vital work that neighbourhood officers, police community support officers, and volunteers do to protect the public and keep people safe.
