Man with £20,000 worth of drugs in home jailed

A man has been jailed after being found with approximately 180 deals of cocaine worth £20,000 inside his home.

Daryl Bees, 33 from Tonypandy, was sentenced to three years and six months in prison following his conviction.

The sentencing took place on Wednesday, May 6, at Swansea Crown Court where Bees pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

This follows an investigation after officers received intelligence of a possible cocaine dealer living in Tonypandy.

Officers then conducted arrest enquiries for Bees and went to his address in Tonypandy, where he was located and arrested. During a search of the property officers found approximately 180 street deals of cocaine worth £20,000, they also found scales and a mobile phone.

Police constable Adam Lewis said:

“Drug dealers like Bees try to hide their activities and will always try to evade officers, but we will investigate every opportunity available to us. This work often takes patience and perseverance, but we will do what is necessary to ensure those who deal drugs are arrested and put before the courts.”
